Jennifer S. Greene
Soprano
Jennifer S. Greene is sought after both as a performer and a teacher. She was recently recognized as a Champion for Change by Lifetime Television and was given an award for exemplary music education from the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall. For over five years, Jennifer has taught private, public, and parochial students from Pre-K through High School ages in a wide variety of programs, including many curricula where she was the author. Jennifer currently is Voice Faculty at the United Nations International School, Staff Teaching Artist for the New York City Opera Education Department, and Teaching Artist for Education Through Music, Inc. Past teaching positions include the Metropolitan Opera Guild Education Department. Jennifer made her performance debut as Cinderella in the second grade play at the age of seven and much later earned both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Mannes College of Music. Jennifer has performed leading roles with Regina Opera Company, Rockland Opera Society, Intermezzo Opera, Mannes Opera and has performed in concerts at the Aspen Music Festival, Lake Placid Institute for the Arts, as well as opera concerts throughout Italy with the Centro Studi Italiani Opera Program. Jennifer can be heard as a featured soloist on the NAXOS American Classics release “Left at the Fork in the Road.” During May 2007 she will be a Resident Artist at the Natchez Opera Festival in Mississippi.
